OBJECTIVES & GOALS

Detailed information about the project

Operational Plan Innovation

Innovation is primarily about the production process. The results of the project will indicate the required changes that can be made in the agronomic practices, but also in the cultivation environment, to increase the quality of the oregano produced by the members of the Operational Group, and improve the viability of the cultivation and the sustainability. The application of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) will contribute to the reduction of inputs, but also to a more environmentally friendly farming practice.

In addition, the application of the Good Agricultural Practices, as well as the labeling of the final product with the quality characteristics will strengthen the marketing of the oregano produced by Operational Group. Similarly, the traceability at all stages of the production process, and the future possible certification as a local variety, or PGI product, will strengthen the marketing of the product, also in the future.
